Urgent Care COVID-19 Testing

At Foundation Health URGENT CARE, we provide exceptional medical care Monday-Saturday for mild symptoms and non-life-threatening injuries. One of the services we also offer is COVID-19 testing, no need to schedule as you visit us on a walk in basis and can receive suitable treatment afterward (if necessary).

People who experience COVID-19 symptoms can visit our urgent care facility, talk to our healthcare team , and discuss the possible treatment options.

Should You Visit the Hospital for COVID Symptoms?

The COVID pandemic has left us feeling isolated and uncertain, so it is only normal to ask yourself whether to visit a local urgent care facility or hospital when you or your loved one needs medical assistance.

At Foundation Health URGENT CARE we treat COVID symptoms and offer drive-up visits for a convenient and smooth experience. If you’ve already started experiencing coronavirus symptoms, you are probably wondering what to do next.

The chances are good that you may skip the ER visit. In most cases, COVID produces mild symptoms and doesn’t require hospitalization.

Early COVID-19 Symptoms and When to Get a COVID-19 Test

High temperature

Sore throat

Difficulty breathing

Severe headache

Fatigue

Muscle aches

Loss of sense of smell or taste

Fever

Cough

Chills

Runny nose

If you’ve had close contact with a family member, friend, or colleague who received a positive COVID test in the last two weeks, you should also consider testing for coronavirus. After completing the test, a clinic nurse will contact you to share the test results.

In some patients, COVID-19 can cause complications, which then require emergency care. Some life-threatening symptoms include:

Sudden confusion

Severe pressure in the head or chest

Difficulty breathing

Bluish coloring in the face

Severe chest pain

What if I Was Around Someone with COVID Symptoms?

In the last 48 hours, if you were near a family member, colleague, or friend and they tested positive for COVID, your next steps depend on whether you are vaccinated and have symptoms.

If you have symptoms, whether or not you are vaccinated, it is essential to get tested. If you don’t have symptoms and are vaccinated, here is what you need to do:

Isolate at home

Monitor your symptoms for up to two weeks

Get plenty of rest

You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days following the second dose. If you don’t have symptoms and aren’t vaccinated, you need to:

Isolate at home for one week

Monitor your symptoms

Consider COVID testing five days after your contact with a positive person

Urgent Care for Treating Mild COVID Symptoms

If you or a loved one is experiencing mild or moderate COVID symptoms, you don’t need to look for emergency treatment. Foundation Health is pleased to offer flu and COVID testing, and we are open later than other urgent care centers.

You can walk into our urgent care clinic Monday-Saturday, and one of our medical specialists will assess your COVID symptoms.

Foundation Health URGENT CARE:

Is privately owned

Allows patients to come back to the clinic if they don’t get better (no need to schedule with your primary physician)

We offer X-rays, screenings, and other necessary tests to diagnose the problem

What to Do When You Aren’t Experiencing Severe Symptoms

Unless your symptoms worsen overnight, you’ll likely treat them at home. Some of the most efficient home remedies for COVID symptoms are as follows:

  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Get rest
  • Avoid alcohol to prevent dehydration
  • Take vitamins (B, C, D, zinc) to boost your immune system

It is also essential to reach out to your healthcare physician or urgent care facility to ensure you follow the proper treatment for your condition.

During your treatment, you should isolate yourself from your family and the public to avoid spreading the virus. You should continue your isolation until you haven’t had a symptom for 24 hours and 14 days have passed since you tested positive for COVID-19.
